The Legal Operations Manager is responsible for providing direct oversight of two teams who handle process improvement initiatives.  This position will support the day-today requests of the Director of Operations and team while upholding our core values and representing the employment brand of Machol & Johannes.

Core Functions:

  • Manage and lead two teams encompassing 6-8 individuals
  • Responsible for evaluating processes and provide ideas and/or design for improvement, while adhering to client requirements
  • Assist with documenting requirements
  • Oversee testing and training
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders in all departments
  • Provide prioritization for projects and incoming support/maintenance tickets
  • Work efficiently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Drive operational efficiencies to increase productivity and contain costs
  • Develop and support programs that promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across the team
  • Other assigned duties

Job Qualifications: 

Education, Formal Training, or Certificates:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or 5 plus years equivalent experience


  • Previous experience in the collection or legal industry preferred
  • Previous experience with a collections management system (CLS) preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • WordPerfect experience preferred
  • Some exposure to T-SQL preferred
  • Experience developing and implementing process improvements preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate competency to improve process
  • Capable of working on multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to think strategically while managing the details
  • Strong organizational and project management skills


Working Environment:

  • Majority of this position will be in a professional office environment
  • Sitting 85%, Standing/Walking 15%
  • Will type, write, use finger dexterity, talk, hear, and see (up close and moderate distances) as a normal part of job duties
  • May occasionally need to lift up to 50 lbs.
