ENTRY LEVEL ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Entry Level Associate Attorney

The Entry Level Associate Attorney will be responsible for reviewing lawsuits and determining whether we have sufficient grounds to proceed with suit based upon Federal and State and Client regulations. As part of an organization, the Entry Level Associate Attorney is responsible to remain in compliance with all protocols in line with an organization goals, strategy, and values.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Attorney must be licensed to practice law in the State of Oklahoma  
  • Additional license in Colorado, Oregon, Washington, and/or Utah is a plus but not required. 
  • Experience with legal research and writing is required
  • Minimum experience using Excel is preferred
  • Experience in the collections industry preferred but not required 
  • Business management experience preferred

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Understands state specific knowledge of collections regulations
  • Displays strong mental agility and decision making skills
  • Attorney will undertake training to ensure a full understanding of all relevant laws, regulations, as well as client and company policies and procedures
  • Attorney will review lawsuits for accurate information, including but not limited to, venue, balances, correct named parties, statute of limitations, proper documentation, proper theories of recovery
  • Attorney may assist in drafting formal policies and procedures associated with the position
  • Attorney may assist in legal research to ensure pleadings and laws contained therein are up-to-date with applicable laws
